What book is this from? I have never seen a picture of Tove Jannson when she was young before - lovely, salty hair and all :)
The Winter Book.There are pictures when she is a little girl, too. Already she has this kind of 'sisu' look and a knowingness in her eyes that is pretty astonishing.
