My good sir, those are grooves not holes (these drawings are titchy), but I didn't count the segments.
But the definition of a true artist is one who knows how to draw bagpipes accurately, but doesn't. The fact that the second drawing has no drone at all is because of the tradition...

I lkie the holes in the drone - designed to look like you didnt know better? It's traditional fro artists to do that with bagpipes ...
